Chris Rock Wants Another Madagascar Movie
Chris Rock is ready to return to the world of Madagascar. In fact, the comedian recently revealed that he would love to voice Marty the Zebra again.
Speaking with Variety, the 61-year-old actor looked back at his time with the animated franchise. Meanwhile, he also made it clear that he wants the story to continue.
“I played Marty the zebra in Madagascar,” Rock said.
He also praised the franchise and its success. According to Rock, the movies remain among the biggest projects he has worked on.
“Everybody is really good. It’s probably the biggest movie I’ve ever been in,” he said.

“Do you understand I got divorced? I don’t have Madagascar money anymore,” he joked.
Then, Rock compared the franchise with another popular animated series. He pointed out that Ice Age has produced more movies than Madagascar.
“We only did three. There’s five Ice Ages. Five! Okay? I need another Madagascar. It’s time!” Rock said.
Madagascar Could Return
DreamWorks Animation released the first Madagascar movie in 2005. At the time, Rock joined Ben Stiller, David Schwimmer and Jada Pinkett Smith as part of the film’s voice cast.
The movie became a major animated hit. Later, the franchise continued with Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa in 2008.
The third movie, Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted, arrived in 2012. Since then, fans have waited for another main installment.

There is currently no official confirmation that Madagascar 4 is in development. Still, Rock’s comments could excite fans who have been hoping for another adventure.
For now, viewers will have to wait and see whether DreamWorks brings Marty, Alex, Gloria and Melman back for another trip.
