Chip Taylor, the songwriter behind the rock anthem “Wild Thing,” has died at 86.

Taylor, born James Wesley Voight, was also the younger brother of actor Jon Voight. His songwriting career spanned decades, producing hits for artists including Janis Joplin and Juice Newton.
