Charlie Sheen and Martin Sheen Reunite for New Comedy Series
Charlie Sheen is set to reunite with his father, Martin Sheen, for a new television comedy. The father-son pair will once again play family members onscreen in AMC’s upcoming series Happy Jack.
The project marks their return to a father-son role more than a decade after their previous collaboration. The series is planned for AMC and AMC+ and is expected to arrive in 2027.
Charlie and Martin Sheen Lead ‘Happy Jack’
Happy Jack will feature Charlie Sheen in the lead role of Jack, a man whose life has been shaped by poor decisions and frequent trouble.
Martin Sheen will play Jack’s father. The new comedy will run for half-hour episodes, with AMC ordering six episodes for its first season.
Production is scheduled to take place at Warner Bros. Studios, a location previously associated with the filming of Friends.
New Comedy Comes From ‘Two and a Half Men’ Team
Jim Patterson and Matt Ross are developing the series. The pair previously worked together on Two and a Half Men and The Ranch.
They will serve as writers and executive producers while also overseeing the project as showrunners. AMC Studios will produce the comedy.
The series will focus on Jack and his complicated family life, combining family relationships with the character’s humorous personal struggles.

Jack Faces a New Challenge
According to the series synopsis, Jack is a longtime underachiever who has often found himself in difficult situations.
He is also the father of two daughters, Kate and Sam. Kate manages Jack’s company and helps keep him under control, while Sam has a rebellious personality and shares several traits with her father.
Jack’s life takes an unexpected turn when Sam introduces her new boyfriend, Paul. He is a former investment banker who has embraced a van-based lifestyle and happens to be the same age as Jack.
