Carson Daly has cleared up rumors surrounding his role on NBC’s hit singing competition The Voice, confirming that he is not leaving the long-running series.
The 53-year-old television personality addressed the confusion on Instagram after fans questioned whether his time as host had come to an end.
“Many today have asked if I’m leaving The Voice. Nope,” Daly wrote, explaining that viewers will see different formats of the franchise during the upcoming seasons.
Daly revealed that NBC is experimenting with two versions of the show, including a new celebrity-focused spinoff titled The Voice: Celebrity. The upcoming edition will introduce a fresh format featuring famous personalities competing in front of celebrity coaches.
NBC announced that Keke Palmer will host the celebrity version, which is scheduled to premiere on Peacock in spring 2027.
The new spinoff will feature Joe Jonas, Queen Latifah, and Riley Green as celebrity coaches.
Daly explained that The Voice: Celebrity will be different from the original competition format, which has featured everyday singers, blind auditions, team selections, and a final winner across 30 seasons.
He said the celebrity edition will bring new twists, with well-known personalities taking the stage to prove their vocal abilities.
Daly also praised Keke Palmer’s selection as host, calling her the perfect choice for the new format and welcoming her to The Voice family.
The veteran host added that he has discussed the upcoming changes on Today and believes the celebrity edition requires a different hosting approach.
While Palmer takes the spotlight for the spinoff, Daly’s message confirms that fans should not expect his departure from The Voice. The franchise will continue exploring new ideas while keeping its original format alive for viewers.
