Global rap star Cardi B and entertainment icon Queen Latifah have been confirmed as headline performers for the 2026 BET Awards, set to take place on June 28 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
The announcement was made by BET officials on Wednesday, confirming a high-profile lineup designed to celebrate music, culture, and artistic influence across generations.
The event will also feature performances from Common, Doechii, Jill Scott, Kehlani, Tems, and T.I., alongside a teased reunion performance between French Montana and Max B, which organizers described as one of the night’s most anticipated moments.
BET executive Connie Orlando said this year’s show will spotlight a powerful mix of legendary artists, rising stars, and cultural trailblazers.
“BET Awards has always been a celebration of the artists, visionaries, and cultural moments that shape our community,” she said, adding that the 2026 ceremony will feature “unforgettable performances and historic tributes.”
Cardi B enters the awards as one of the most nominated artists this year, securing six nominations. Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar and Mariah the Scientist follow closely with five nominations each.
The ceremony will also honor music legend Lauryn Hill with the Living Legend Award, while actress and performer Teyana Taylor will be recognized as Icon of the Year.
Founded in 2001, the BET Awards continue to spotlight achievements in music, film, sports, and cultural impact, making it one of the most influential entertainment events in the United States.
