Britney Spears’ Ex-Manager Urges Fans to Show Compassion

Britney Spears’ former manager Sam Lutfi has spoken out following the singer’s recent viral freeway incident, urging the public to respond with compassion instead of criticism.

The 44-year-old pop star recently drew attention after images appeared online showing her standing through the sunroof of a moving Mercedes SUV on Los Angeles’ busy 101 Freeway near Studio City.

The incident quickly sparked concern and discussion on social media, with many people sharing opinions about the singer’s actions.

Lutfi, who previously had legal disputes with Spears and obtained restraining orders involving her in 2008 and 2019, asked fans to avoid making quick judgments about the star.

“Compassion is a better response than mockery,” Lutfi said, adding that Spears should be viewed as a person before a celebrity.

He also criticized the way public figures are often judged online, saying social media does not provide a complete picture of someone’s personal circumstances.

Lutfi explained that he did not want to diagnose or criticize Spears, emphasizing that outsiders cannot fully understand what someone may be experiencing.

Spears later addressed the online reaction herself through an Instagram post, sharing a picture from the incident and writing about trying to reclaim lost years and personal freedom.

The freeway stunt reportedly attracted attention from local authorities, who emphasized that such behavior could create serious safety risks.

The incident came months after Spears faced another legal issue in California. In March, she was arrested over a DUI-related case and later pleaded guilty to a reduced “wet reckless” driving charge.
