Beyoncé is celebrating her 45th birthday with a special release linked to one of her most famous albums.
The singer turned 45 on September 4, 2026. The milestone comes alongside a remastered edition of her second solo album, B’DAY.
Originally released in 2006, B’DAY became an important chapter in Beyoncé’s career. The project explored confidence, freedom and personal growth.
The album featured popular tracks including Green Light, Get Me Bodied and Upgrade U.
Beyoncé has said that she wanted the album to sound energetic and powerful. She also placed a strong focus on live instruments.
At the time, hip-hop was growing rapidly in mainstream music. However, Beyoncé wanted to keep traditional R&B melodies and harmonies at the centre of the project.
She blended those influences with sampling, strong drums and detailed vocal arrangements.
To mark the album’s latest milestone, Beyoncé returned to the original material for a major visual upgrade.
Music videos originally filmed on 35mm have now received new colour work and 4K remastering.
The updated collection includes Déjà Vu, featuring JAY-Z. Sophie Muller directed the original music video.
The remastered release gives longtime fans a new way to experience one of Beyoncé’s defining eras.
Twenty years after B’DAY first arrived, the album continues to highlight the style and ambition that shaped Beyoncé’s solo career.
