Marvel’s highly anticipated film Avengers: Doomsday has made a powerful start at the box office before even reaching theaters.
The upcoming superhero movie reportedly earned $16.5 million from its first day of ticket pre-sales, marking one of the strongest early performances for a Marvel Cinematic Universe project.
According to reports, tickets were initially available only for premium formats, including IMAX and Dolby Cinema, across around 1,000 theaters in the United States.

Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18, 2026, with a planned release across more than 4,000 cinemas in the United States.
The movie is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, the filmmakers behind some of Marvel’s biggest successes, including Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.
