Ariana Grande will no longer appear in American Horror Story Season 13 after scheduling conflicts prevented her from joining the upcoming season.
According to reports, changes to the show’s filming schedule reportedly clashed with dates from Grande’s ongoing Eternal Sunshine Tour, making it difficult for the singer to commit to production.
Sources stated that Grande had not filmed any scenes for the new season before her departure. Neither FX nor 20th Television has officially commented on the report.
The upcoming season of American Horror Story features a major lineup of returning stars, including Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Jessica Lange, Emma Roberts and Billie Lourd.
Several franchise favorites are also expected to return, while new cast members will join the anthology series for the first time.
Fans had already begun noticing Grande’s absence after cast members were spotted filming scenes for Season 13. Details about the storyline remain under wraps, but the new season is scheduled to premiere on September 24.
Grande’s exit comes shortly after adjustments were made to some dates on her Eternal Sunshine Tour. Several July performances were rescheduled, including shows in New York and Boston.
The singer’s tour will continue across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom as she focuses on her live performances and music commitments.
