Andrew Garfield Is Not Worried About the Marketing
Andrew Garfield is not letting the recent confusion around The Uprising distract him from the film.
The period action drama recently appeared to have a new title, The Uprising: The Rise of Robin Hood. The team later clarified that the phrase works as a tagline rather than a new title.
Garfield said he did not pay much attention to the marketing situation.
The actor told The Hollywood Reporter that he focuses on films with stories and themes he believes in. He also acknowledged that filmmakers have little control over what attracts audiences.

Garfield compared the situation to the marketing for his film We Live in Time.
Promotional images for that movie gained attention because of a strange-looking carousel horse.
Garfield said he is comfortable with unusual promotional moments if they help people discover a film.
He joked that he would even accept attention from things such as eating spicy chicken wings, discussions about Robin Hood, or the now-famous “deranged horse.”
More importantly, Garfield said he believes strongly in The Uprising.
The Actor’s “Dream and Prayer” for the Film
Garfield hopes the movie becomes part of the communal cinema experience.
He pointed to the success of other films that have brought audiences together throughout the summer.
“That’s my hope, my dream and my prayer,” Garfield said.
The actor plays a grieving farmer known as Ploughman in the film.
