Alanis Morissette has filed a lawsuit against her former tour manager, accusing her of fraud and extortion.
The Ironic singer claims that Keren Urinov launched a blackmail campaign against her. According to the lawsuit, Urinov allegedly threatened to make false claims unless Morissette agreed to her demands.
Morissette says Urinov tried to force her into a long-term work agreement. The singer claims her former manager demanded a 15-year contract with major financial benefits.
The lawsuit states that Morissette refused to continue working with Urinov and decided to take legal action instead.
Urinov previously worked as the head of Israeli operations at Live Nation for nine years. Morissette hired her in 2025 to manage her summer tour.
However, problems reportedly began later that year. According to the legal complaint, Urinov faced questions at a UK airport while carrying a bag that allegedly contained marijuana and xylazine.
After the tour ended, Morissette claims Urinov sent several messages that became increasingly threatening.
The lawsuit alleges that Urinov warned she would contact British authorities and claim the substances belonged to Morissette unless the singer accepted her contract demands.
Morissette’s legal team described the situation as a serious attempt to pressure the singer. They said she had no option but to file the lawsuit to protect herself.
Meanwhile, Urinov has not publicly accepted the allegations made in the complaint.
