Ajay Devgn Begins Chauhaan Shoot in Kargil
Ajay Devgn has started filming his upcoming war drama Chauhaan in Kargil, Ladakh. According to Bollywood Hungama, the actor arrived in the region a few days ago and has already begun shooting.
The film could bring Devgn back to cinemas around the same time next year. His recent release, Drishyam: The Conclusion, reportedly performed strongly after arriving during the October 2 holiday weekend.
Ajay Devgn Films Key Scenes in Kargil
A source told Bollywood Hungama that Devgn has started shooting in Kargil. The production team plans to film several important scenes in the area.
The makers secured the required permissions before filming. They have also made arrangements to help the shoot run smoothly.
The cold weather could add a realistic feel to the war drama. According to the source, temperatures in Kargil are quite low, which may help create the right setting for the film.
Ajay Devgn Returns to Ladakh
Ladakh is not new to Devgn. He previously filmed important scenes there for J. P. Dutta’s war film LOC: Kargil, released in 2003.
His return to the region for Chauhaan brings him back to a location linked to one of his earlier war dramas.
Who Is Making Chauhaan?
Neeraj Yadav will direct Chauhaan. Meanwhile, Jyoti Deshpande, Aanand L. Rai and Himanshu Sharma will produce the film.
Jio Studios and Colour Yellow Productions are backing the project.
The makers officially announced Chauhaan on June 25, 2026. The date also marked the birth anniversary of Devgn’s late father, Veeru Devgan, who worked as an action director.
