Slava Tsukerman, the director of the cult science-fiction film “Liquid Sky,” has died at 86.
The Russian-born filmmaker created the 1982 movie, which centered on New Wave fashion models and alien assassins in New York City. The low-budget picture became a midnight movie staple and is credited with influencing American independent cinema.
