Mel Schilling, host of “Married at First Sight U.K.,” has died at age 54. Her husband, Gareth Brisbane, confirmed her death.
The news follows Schilling’s public announcement two weeks ago that she had been diagnosed with terminal colon cancer. She had shared the diagnosis in an emotional social media post, stating her intention to fight the illness.
Schilling was a prominent relationship expert and a familiar face on the popular reality television franchise. She joined the U.K. version of the show in 2020.
Her husband described her as a devoted wife and mother who never lost sight of what mattered most in life. Tributes from colleagues and fans have begun to circulate online.
