Anup Soni Opens Up About Disappointment Over Shaque’s Deleted Scenes
Actor Anup Soni has shared several scenes that did not make the final cut of Netflix’s mystery thriller Shaque: Trust No One. Although he admitted feeling some disappointment, he also acknowledged that removing scenes is a normal part of filmmaking.
Anup, 51, plays Inspector Khurana in the series, which features Parineeti Chopra and Jennifer Winget. On Saturday, he shared clips of the deleted sequences on Instagram.
The footage shows Anup performing intense action scenes with his co-star Vicky Arora.
In one clip, a wounded Khurana struggles with Vicky’s character. Another shows Anup’s character strangling him. A separate scene features the actor running out of breath with a camera strapped to his waist.
These scenes offered fans a glimpse of work that viewers did not get to see in the released series.

Anup Soni Explains Why Scenes Get Cut
Alongside the clips, Anup reflected on the time and effort that go into creating scenes for a production.
He explained that many people contribute to each sequence, including writers, directors, action choreographers, actors, cinematographers, producers and other crew members.
The actor acknowledged that it can be disappointing when a carefully planned scene does not appear in the final version.
However, he also stressed that filmmakers must consider the overall story before deciding which scenes to keep.
Anup explained that sometimes removing a sequence helps the story work better. Therefore, he sees these cuts as part of the filmmaking process rather than simply a loss.
His comments highlighted the effort that goes into scenes audiences may never see. They also showed his understanding of the difficult decisions involved in editing a series.
