‘Kalki 2898 AD’ Team Celebrates Prabhas’ Birthday With Bhairava Glimpse
The team behind Kalki 2898 AD has celebrated Prabhas’ 47th birthday with a special video teasing his return as Bhairava in the upcoming sequel.
Director Nag Ashwin shared the short clip on social media, giving fans a glimpse of the actor back in the role of the fearless bounty hunter. The video has sparked excitement among fans eager to see the next chapter of the science-fiction saga.
The team shared a birthday message for the actor, calling him a superhero of Indian cinema and celebrating his popularity across generations.
Prabhas Returns as Bhairava in New Teaser
The 32-second video opens with crew members preparing a blue-screen set. Soon, the words “Bhairava is back” appear on screen as Prabhas walks onto the set wearing his character’s signature armour.
The clip also shows the actor sitting inside Bujji, his futuristic vehicle from the first film. Ashwin then calls “action,” signalling the start of the scene.
However, the video keeps Prabhas’ full look under wraps. Instead, it shows his silhouette as he stands on a raised structure.
The clip later displays the message “Happy Birthday Bhairava” and offers a closer glimpse of the character’s long hair and beard.
Fans React to Prabhas’ Bhairava Look
The birthday video quickly drew enthusiastic reactions from fans. Many praised Prabhas’ screen presence and expressed excitement about his return.

Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan Return
The upcoming sequel also brings back Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan. Bachchan plays Ashwatthama, while Haasan portrays Supreme Yaskin.
Deepika Padukone, who played SUM-80 in the first film, has reportedly exited the project. Names such as Sai Pallavi and Alia Bhatt have circulated in discussions about a possible replacement.
However, Ashwin told Variety India in September that the sequel would not introduce new characters. He did not reveal who, if anyone, would take over Deepika’s role.
The casting details therefore remain unclear.
