Selena Gomez has shared a sweet glimpse into her first wedding anniversary celebration with husband Benny Blanco. The singer revealed that the couple kept things simple by enjoying cake and watching their wedding videos together in their pajamas.
Speaking to Extra at the fourth annual Rare Impact Fund Benefit on Wednesday, October 14, Gomez described the celebration as a relaxed and romantic moment with her husband.
“We actually just ate a piece of cake and watched videos in our pajamas,” Gomez said.
When asked which videos they watched, the Only Murders in the Building star clarified that they were their wedding videos. She also joked about their sentimental choice, saying, “We’re so cheesy.”
The couple’s cozy anniversary celebration comes days after Blanco faced criticism online over comments about how their relationship became official.
During an October 6 episode of his Friends Keep Secrets podcast, Blanco recalled a conversation that took place at around 3:30 a.m. He said Gomez woke him up to ask the familiar relationship question, “What are we?”

According to Blanco, the pair were already dating but had not clearly defined their relationship. Gomez reportedly wanted to know what she should tell people if they asked about their status before she left for New York.
Blanco eventually understood that Gomez wanted confirmation that they were officially boyfriend and girlfriend. He described the conversation as a “helpful nudge” and said he wanted to be with her, although his account prompted criticism from some social media users.Akshay Kumar Praises Ganesh Acharya’s Biopic and Shares Its Trailer
