Khushbu Sundar Defends Katrina Kaif After Body-Shaming Backlash

Khushbu Sundar Defends Katrina Kaif After Body-Shaming Backlash

Katrina Kaif has received support from actor-politician Khushbu Sundar after facing online trolling and body-shaming over her recent appearance at the Ambani family’s Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations.

Sundar addressed the criticism on Instagram and X on September 18. She questioned the different standards society often applies to men and women as they age and their bodies change.

Her comments came as discussions about Kaif’s appearance spread across social media.

    Khushbu Sundar Questions Double Standards

Sundar challenged the public focus on women’s bodies and appearance.

She argued that men often receive more acceptance when their physical appearance changes with age. According to her, baldness, grey hair or weight gain can be viewed as signs of maturity or experience when it comes to men.

She contrasted this with the criticism women can face over wrinkles, weight changes and other natural physical changes.

Sundar questioned why society expects women to maintain the same appearance throughout their lives while applying different standards to men.

    Katrina Kaif Receives Strong Support

Sundar directly defended Katrina Kaif and rejected the idea that the actress should be judged based on whether she still looks the same as she did earlier in her career.

She described Kaif as beautiful and emphasized that women should not feel pressured to explain changes in their appearance.

The actor-politician also connected the discussion to her own experiences with body changes and public comments about her appearance.

Khushbu Sundar Opens Up About Body Criticism

Sundar said she understands how difficult public judgment about body changes can be because she has experienced it herself.

She recalled facing ridicule when she was heavier. She also said that after losing weight, people began speculating about whether she had used weight-loss injections.

Sundar questioned why people feel entitled to demand explanations about another person’s body or personal choices.

Her comments highlighted the wider conversation around social-media scrutiny and the pressure placed on women over their appearance.

Katrina Kaif’s Appearance Sparks Online Discussion

Kaif recently attended the Ambani family’s Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, where her appearance became a topic of discussion online.

Some social media users made critical comments about her body and appearance. The reaction prompted Sundar to speak out against what she viewed as unfair judgment.

Rather than focusing on changing beauty standards, Sundar encouraged women to live according to their own choices and without constantly responding to public criticism.

She also emphasized that motherhood, aging and changes in weight do not determine a woman’s value or beauty.

‘A Woman Does Not Have a Prime’

In her closing message, Sundar argued that women should not be treated as though their beauty has an expiration date.

She encouraged Kaif to continue living with dignity and self-respect and said she does not owe anyone an explanation for her body, motherhood or appearance.

Sundar’s message ultimately focused on a broader point: women experience different stages of life, and each stage deserves respect rather than public judgment.
