Keke Palmer is bringing her energy and charisma to NBC’s The Voice as the show introduces a new celebrity-focused season.
The 32-year-old actress confirmed the news through a social media announcement, revealing that she will host The Voice: Celebrity when the special edition premieres.
NBC described the upcoming season as an extension of the popular singing competition, but with a major twist. Instead of undiscovered singers chasing their big break, the show will feature celebrities from different industries competing for the title of the first Voice celebrity champion.
The new format will include actors, musicians, influencers, athletes, comedians, and reality television personalities battling through the competition under the guidance of celebrity coaches.
Queen Latifah and Riley Green are set to return as coaches, while Joe Jonas will join the lineup for the first time. Their involvement adds a fresh dynamic to the revamped version of the long-running music series.
Palmer’s appointment comes after Carson Daly stepped away from hosting the upcoming season. Reports suggest Daly’s decision was influenced by scheduling conflicts between The Voice and his responsibilities as a co-anchor on NBC’s Today.
An insider reportedly said Daly was unable to balance the filming schedule with his morning show commitments and also wanted to spend more time with his family.
Although Daly will no longer appear as host, he is expected to remain connected to the program as a producer.
With Keke Palmer leading the new celebrity edition, The Voice is entering a new chapter designed to attract both longtime fans and new viewers.
