Marvel Studios’ upcoming superhero film Avengers: Doomsday has made a powerful start at the box office, collecting $16.5 million in advance ticket sales on its first day of availability.
The highly anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe movie generated huge audience interest after Disney launched ticket bookings alongside the release of the film’s first trailer.
The trailer teased an epic battle featuring the Avengers, X-Men, and the iconic villain Doctor Doom, increasing excitement among Marvel fans worldwide.
Despite limited availability, the film recorded impressive pre-sale numbers with tickets initially offered only for premium-format screenings in around 1,000 theatres across North America.
