Megan Fox Reportedly Set To Return For Jennifer’s Body Sequel
Cult horror favorite Jennifer’s Body is reportedly getting a sequel, with Megan Fox expected to reprise her iconic role and original filmmaker Karyn Kusama and writer Diablo Cody returning.
Fans of the cult classic horror film Jennifer’s Body have received exciting news as reports suggest a sequel is currently in development.
Megan Fox is reportedly preparing to return as Jennifer Check, the character she played in the 2009 supernatural horror movie that gained a strong following years after its initial release.
According to reports, director Karyn Kusama and screenwriter Diablo Cody, who worked on the original film, are also expected to return for the upcoming project.
The sequel is reportedly planned to begin filming in Vancouver in October, although official production details have not yet been fully confirmed.
The original Jennifer’s Body followed a high school cheerleader who becomes possessed after a failed ritual and transforms into a supernatural creature. Her best friend Anita, played by Amanda Seyfried, attempts to stop her while uncovering the truth behind the events.
Although the movie struggled at the box office when it was released in 2009 and received mixed reviews, it later developed a passionate fan base and became recognized as a modern cult classic.
It remains unclear whether Amanda Seyfried will return for the sequel, leaving fans curious about the future of the friendship between Jennifer and Anita.
The reported project could also mark a major comeback for Megan Fox, who has appeared in fewer acting roles in recent years.
Fox was last seen in the 2024 science fiction thriller Subservience and the comedy series Overcompensating.
If confirmed, Jennifer’s Body 2 could bring back one of horror cinema’s most memorable characters and introduce the franchise to a new generation of viewers.
