Kristin Cavallari is opening up about a deeply personal struggle from her early years in the entertainment industry. The television personality and entrepreneur recently reflected on how fame and body image pressures shaped her relationship with food during her twenties.
Speaking on her Let’s Be Honest podcast, Cavallari discussed her journey while talking about preparing for Miami Swim Week. The conversation quickly shifted toward the emotional challenges she experienced while navigating life in the public eye.
The reality television star revealed that she became heavily focused on food and body weight during that period of her life. She admitted that guilt surrounded many of her daily choices and described the experience as emotionally exhausting.
Cavallari explained that she spent years limiting herself to basic meals and constantly monitoring what she consumed. Looking back, she said her eating patterns created an unhealthy cycle that also included binge eating during weekends.
She acknowledged that she had never formally viewed her experiences as an eating disorder at the time. However, she now believes her behavior may have fallen within that spectrum and said many women face similar pressures linked to society’s expectations.
Today, Cavallari says she feels a sense of freedom and peace around food that she did not have before. She also expressed hope that by sharing her story, others facing similar struggles may feel understood and supported.
