Oscar-winning actor Angelina Jolie has opened up about her personal journey, her children, and life after her high-profile split from actor Brad Pitt, offering rare insight into their evolving family dynamics.
In a recent interview with Variety for her film Couture, Jolie reflected on how motherhood has helped her reconnect with her identity and creative drive after years of emotional and legal challenges.
She shared that her six children have played a central role in helping her rediscover her “fighting spirit.” Jolie noted that her children remain a strong source of encouragement and emotional support, especially during difficult periods following her separation.
“They know me more than anybody, and they still like me, which says a lot,” she said, adding that her children have helped her feel more free to explore different aspects of herself again.

The Maleficent star also hinted at the difficult years during her custody and legal disputes with Pitt, saying there were times she considered stepping away from acting entirely to focus on directing and international humanitarian work.
However, she eventually returned to acting for practical reasons, explaining that it allowed her to stay closer to home while balancing work and parenting responsibilities.
Her comments come amid growing public attention on her family, with reports suggesting that all six of her children have now dropped “Pitt” from their surnames, signaling a continued emotional distance from their father.
Jolie and Pitt were first linked in 2005, married in 2014, and separated two years later. Their divorce was finalized in December 2024 after years of legal proceedings.
Despite the challenges, Jolie emphasized that her focus remains on stability, creativity, and raising her children in a supportive environment.
