“Paralyzing Gratitude”: Noah Kahan Drops Fourth Album The Great Divide and Surprise Deluxe Edition
The wait is finally over for the “Busyhead” community. On Friday, April 24, 2026, Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Noah Kahan released his highly anticipated fourth studio album, The Great Divide.
Marking his first full-length project since the 2022 phenomenon Stick Season, the new record was produced by industry heavyweights Gabe Simon and Aaron Dessner (frequent collaborator of Taylor Swift and The National).
The Deluxe Surprise: “The Last of the Bugs”
Kahan didn’t just stop at the standard 17-track release. He simultaneously dropped an extended deluxe version titled The Great Divide: The Last of the Bugs, adding four extra tracks to the collection:
Lighthouse
Staying Still
A Few of Your Own
Orbiter
“I told you there was gonna be more music, and now you have it,” Kahan shared in an emotional self-recorded video on Instagram. “I wanted you to have as much as possible.”
An Emotional Return to the Spotlight
Kahan, 29, took to his Instagram Stories to express his “paralyzing gratitude” for the reception of the new material. Having moved from a niche folk artist to a global superstar over the last four years, the singer admitted to being in “complete shock” at the unwavering support of his fanbase.

Why This Release Matters
With Stick Season reaching multi-platinum status and defining the “folk-pop” revival of the mid-2020s, The Great Divide arrives under immense pressure. By enlisting Aaron Dessner, Kahan signals a shift toward a more atmospheric, indie-rock sound while maintaining the vulnerable songwriting that made him a household name.
